World’s lightest battery-free tremor stabilizing glove provides relief for Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s Disease
TORONTO, September 24, 2025 – Steadiwear, a Toronto-based medtech company pioneering battery-free tremor stabilization technology, today announced the official launch of its Steadi-3 device alongside securing $2M CAD in new funding through a mix of equity investments, a loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), a grant from the Accelerator Centre Studio program and non-dilutive funding from the Mobility Unlimited Hub, a program in collaboration with Toyota Mobility Foundation and MaRS Discovery District.
The investment round included participation from HaloHealth, the Agetech Collaborative from AARP, Birdhouse Ventures, and a network of angel investors. These new funds will accelerate the commercial rollout of Steadi-3, expand distribution partnerships and support R&D for Steadi-4, the company’s upcoming Medicare-reimbursable model.
The Steadi-3 is the world’s lightest battery-free tremor stabilizing glove, delivering instant, non-invasive relief for patients living with Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s Disease. Lightweight and discreet, the Steadi-3 demonstrated 84% efficacy in placebo-controlled studies, helping patients regain independence in daily tasks such as eating, writing and drinking.
“The launch of Steadi-3 marks a transformative milestone in tremor care,” said Mark Elias, the CEO and Co-Founder of Steadiwear. “For millions of people whose daily independence is disrupted by hand tremors, Steadi-3 offers a lightweight, clinically proven, and instantly effective solution. Our mission has always been to restore quality of life and dignity to patients, and Steadi-3 is a giant step toward making that vision a reality.”
“HaloHealth is proud to be a follow-on investor in Steadiwear,” said Luke Sheen, Executive Director of HaloHealth. I have been impressed with the founders’ ability to consistently achieve set milestones and successfully commercialize their vision of creating an effective solution for patients with Essential Tremor and Parkinson's disease.”
