What is the Steadi-One glove?
The Steadi-One is a lightweight, compact and responsive glove designed to reduce hand tremors in Essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. Our novel, battery-free ball joint damper uses a smart material that was designed to resist tremors (>2hz) while allowing voluntary motion (<2Hz). It is combined with a tuned mass damper to stabilize forearm tremors, a technology typically used to stabilize high rise structures against earthquakes. Our system allows full range of motion while resisting multiple tremor directions that are proven to be the most common in Essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. The Steadi-One is also equipped with BOA knobs, the most sophisticated closure system in the world.
What will I be receiving when I place an order?
You will be receiving a Steadi-One unit comprised of a single glove, a stabilizer unit, a portable pouch, and a user manual. In case you misplace your user manual, click here to download an extra copy.
Can I try the Steadi-One in person before purchasing it?

Is the Steadi-One safe to use?
The Steadi-One is a Class I medical device that is FDA registered and has received a medical device establishment license from Health Canada.
The Steadi-One stabilizer unit contains a small magnet. If you are undergoing an MRI, have a cardiac pacemaker or other implantable medical electronic devices, please consult your healthcare provider prior to using the glove.
Is the Steadi-One right for me?
The Steadi-One is designed to work most effectively for people with tremors in the wrist and forearm.
How are assessments done for fitting? How do I know what size I am?
The Steadi-One comes in 3 sizes, Small , Medium and Large. A sizing chart is now available below for your review. If your device does not fit well, please email us to return the glove component and we will replace it with your required size.
How do I turn the Steadi-One on?
The device is battery-free and is activated upon sensing a tremor above 2Hz.

- Make sure the damping system is properly attached to the glove
- Loosen BOA® knob #1
- Loosen BOA® knob #2
- Slide hand inside the glove
- Adjust both knobs until it feels snug but comfortable
How to remove the Steadi-One glove

- Slide hand out of glove to remove
- Store glove appropriately
*To loosen the BOA® knob pull it upwards until you hear a click, then you can loosen the threads.

How do I store my Steadi-One when not in use?
For safekeeping, always place the Steadi-One back into the portable pouch and store the glove flat in a clean, cool, dry condition away from direct sunlight or heat.
NOTE: It is strongly discouraged to leave the Steadi-One in enclosed spaces where it maybe damp such as washrooms or kitchens.
How do I take care of my Steadi-One? How do I clean the Steadi-One?
For the Steadi-One we recommend that you wash the lycra glove after every 2 weeks of regular use or when you feel it’s necessary. Before you wash the glove, the dampers should be detached:
- Gently unfasten the velcro rubber cover from the back harness.
- Gently press the front harness release down until you hear a small click.
- Pull the damping system up and forward until the rod completely slides out of the tube.
You can wash your glove with different methods:
- Machine wash in gentle cycle (cold water). Place glove in portable pouch before putting into the washing machine.
- Hang to dry or tumble dry on low heat setting.
- Hand-wash with warm water.
Practice good housekeeping to keep dust and contamination to a minimum.
Is the Steadi-One safe to travel with in other countries? International travel with your Steadi-One (any catches)?
The Steadi-One is safe for travel and is classified as a class I medical device by Health Canada & the FDA. This device will not require any special documentation.
Can I use my insurance policy to cover the cost of the Steadi-One?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept insurance for purchases yet but we’re working on it.
What form of payment is accepted?

How do I purchase the Steadi-One?
The Steadi-One can be purchased online through our webstore. We currently ship to the USA and Canada. We do not directly ship to locations outside of the US and Canada, however the products may be shipped to certain locations through our authorized resellers. (Coming Soon) Please visit our International page for a list of authorized resellers.
Returns and Warranty
What is the return policy?
To return your Steadi-One glove for a full refund, please do the following:
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request an RMA (return merchandise authorization) within 30 days from when you first received the product as determined by the tracking information.
Once instructions have been conveyed, return the fully-functional product to us in its original packaging with all components. The return must be postmarked within 14 days of when the RMA was issued. Return Shipping will be covered by Steadiwear Inc if returned within the 30-day trial period only.
All items returned must have an RMA number. Returns without an RMA number may be returned to the sender at their cost.

What do i do if my Steadi-One becomes damaged?
If damage occurs to the Steadi-One please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If the damage is within the warranty period, we will request for you to send it back to us and we can diagnose the issue and return a fixed unit. If the issue occurs outside the warranty period, we will still fix the damage however we would require that any additional costs, as well as shipping and handling, are covered by the customer. Please note that pricing will vary based on the severity of the damage.
What kind of warranty does my Steadi-One come with?
Steadi-One comes with a 1-year limited warranty. We warrant the product if defected under ordinary consumer use. The warranty does not cover the following:
- liquid damage
- force damage
- damage due to misuse
- alterations or repairs performed by a third party other than Steadiwear Inc.
If covered damage occurs outside the warranty period, we will require the unit to be sent to our main office and the service will be priced based on the severity of the damage.

How often does my Steadi-One need to be replaced?
The glove component of the Steadi-One glove may need replacing every 6 months depending on wear and tear as a result of usage and washing.Glove purchase options coming soon.
The stabilizer component of the Steadi-One will not need to be replaced or fixed unless damaged.
Can I buy additional coverage / warranty for my Steadi-One?
Yes we provide additional warranty for $64.99/year USD.

Shipping and Delivery
What if I need to cancel or modify my order?
Please contact us at email@example.com and we can accommodate your request as long as the order has not been shipped out yet. In the case that it has been shipped out, then we provide a 30-day money-back guarantee so you might as well give it a try prior to its return within the 30 days.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to locations within Canada & United States only.
How much is shipping cost?
Shipping is free and included within the price of the unit.
How long does it take to ship?
We ship orders within 3 weeks of the order submission.
From time to time, the demand for Steadiwear products might be greater than our supply. If we are back-ordered, we’ll note the estimated time until the next shipment within the order confirmation email and order update emails.
